" This sweater is attractive enough that it elicits complements even from strangers, and I am actually happy that the lower part is really more brown than purple to keep it from becoming cute, but I persist in feeling ambivalent. The issue has to do with the fit and my body shape, so if you are shaped like the PC catalog models (broad, square shoulders) and average height or short, You should think of the sweater as five-stars. Go for it. Buy it. It’s lovely. But here’s my issue. I am very long wasted (tall) and a curvy, pear shape. Pear shape goes great with the sweater In terms of fit. I ordered a medium (depending on the cut, I can wear an XL.) It was perfect. The sweater hugs my chest and flows over my hips, very becoming. My shoulders, however, are about two centuries too late to be fashionable since they slope down from my neck and are not broad. I had thought the geometric design would somehow help visually making the shoulders appear to spread outward in the brighter color from the tip of the triangle in the darker color, But really the dark triangle seems to be echoed in the slope of my shoulders, and because I’m tall and don’t have a high chest, the triangle shape cuts across my breasts which makes them seem also somehow droopy. So in spite of the good fit, I end up not feeling pretty in the sweater no matter how many compliments I receive. This is too specific to be broadly helpful, but for all you tall pear girls out there, I would give the sweater three stars. Maybe skip it. "
