Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Skirt, But... I'd been eyeing this skirt for ages, and with a double sale I ordered it. It's quite nicely made and definitely unique, but overall it didn't come together quite well enough for me to keep it. Due to the heavy embroidered hem sewn to the lighter weight main skirt, plus the attached lining underneath, it didn't fall smoothly enough at the hem—there was a bit of poofing out just above the embroidered section that seemed worse at the sides. It didn't poof out badly, but enough so that it bothered me and it detracted from a smooth look down the skirt. Although I have other PC skirts that are this length, for some reason this one seemed a lot shorter than my others, and the short length was one of the reasons I decided not to keep it as it was just a bit shorter than I really want to wear. The other negative was the obvious necessity to dry clean the skirt due to the embroidered hem and how it is all sewn together. Had there been no other issues, I would have been able to live with the dry cleaning, but overall, the skirt just didn't work for me. Size reference: 5'7", 140", size 8 was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unuique Skirt I was a little bit scared when I purchased this skirt, because I do not usually have good luck with pencil skirts that are not fabricated from a stretchy material, but it is not a problem for me with this skirt. The waist band (which sits below the waist) fits well and is comfortable while in the hip/thigh area there is enough room for the skirt to be comfortable without any pulling or tugging any place. I also like that on my 5"7" frame it is not as mini on me as it is on the model. It comes about 2" above my knees. The skirt looks great with a black turtle neck and tights so that it can be worn in the colder months here in New York. I can not wait until nicer weather arrives to wear it without tights. One really nice thing to note is the way the lining was sewn into the garment you will never have to worry about the lining hanging lower than the skirt.
