Rated 5 out of 5 by from Striking fit! Striking fit, extremely flattering jacket. I'm 5'5", 142# - 8 is spot-on perfect. I have a medium to slightly athletic-looking build. If your waist is larger than my 'mediumish' waist, going up a size could work better. The buttons were perfect for me but another inch in the waist & could be too tight. Overall - been searching for a jacket like this for years! Would love to see this cut in Spring: Lighter-weight fabrics, classic patterns or one-color (tweedy, neutrals).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket overall The fit is larger than expected through the bust. The sleeve length requires rolling as the scrunch effect does not stay. the lining however is lovely so if the slight bulk works for you then you'll have a good look. I paired it with the same scarf and it is an equestrian experience. It provides a nice amount of warmth without being heavy. Then length is as described. I recommend buying this in a size smaller than you would normally wear; my size was as small as it goes!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile Wardrobe Staple Corporate or sporty look - either way, a must have for my wardrobe. Especially like the ease of movement and the softness of the fabric. Suprisingly I found the length flattering (5'6" - 130 lbs - size 10. Size 8 wouled have skimmed my body more closely (like the catalog picture) but i wanted extra shoulder room for comfort and the option to wear it over a shirt or sweater. Very pleased with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! What a jacket! Buy this jacket! It makes you look great. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs. and it makes you feel tall and leggy. Looks good with jeans, leggings, just about anything. The quality is great (and I'm picky). Some have gulped at the price but it's well worth it and priced right for the quality. The tweedy color is versatile and can dress up or down. The size is true (I bought a 10 so that I could wear it over sweaters.) I'm a first time buyer and this was a great intro for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Off the Charts Worth every penny! Quality is up to PCs usual standards of excellence; the elegant lining is a nice touch. The fit (for me) is sublime - nips in slightly above the stomach then starts to cut away as it lengthens. The length in the back is perfect for this legging/boot girl. It's sharp looking, tailored and elegant - tweedy perfection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb. I’d recommend usual size. As others have said, this is an outstanding jacket. I’m amazed how much I love it. I just want to add that I followed several reviewers advice to size down but now I need to reorder in my regular size (and choke on the cost). I will compare but the size down will not allow me to wear a sweater underneath, just a thin top. I’m normally a 12, sometimes 10. The 10 is snug. For fall, I may need to wear a sweater so I expect the 12 will be better. I’m 5’8”. Worth the purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YAY!!!!! As soon I pushed the order button I started holding my breath - hoping this jacket would be everything it appeared to be. Thankfully I was not disappointed. The fit is true to size with the cut of the jacket quite slimming. The fabric is a perfect medium weight and very soft. The pattern is classic with rich deep brown mixing with the black. The seams on the jacket are an excellent detail. I am 5'4" with a long torso and thought the proportions of the jacket were great. This is one perfect purchase where you get what you pay for without a doubt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Flattering Fit My daily wardrobe tends to be casual pants or jeans, with a blouse, jacket and nice jewelry on top. This jacket is gorgeous — the shape is complimentary to my figure (a bit pear shaped), and it has a very professional line if you want it to. Equally perfect for a casual look over jeans and tank top, or dressed up for the board room!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful jacket The body runs a little large but not the sleeves, size 16. The jacket is plenty long on me especially from the shoulder to the waist line at 5'11". The fabric is very soft and drapes nicely. The black and brown are not the only colors a top can be coordinated... There is a very subtle tan and muted orange which is even more subtle throughout. It is easy to see why PC put the orange paisley scarf around the neck. As for the workmanship, it's the usual PC impeccable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ya gotta love it when it "pops" the dorset cutaway jacket is classic and yet it was a surprise that when i put it on, it also "popped". i put it on to go out with my husband and he did a double take commenting on how nice a jacket and how good i looked. i actually tried the size 16, 14, and 12. i am usually between 12-14 but there were no 14 at the time, so i ordered the 12 and the 16. then a 14 showed up and i got it. the size 16 was definitely too big, but even the 14 seemed a bit boxy in the arms, so the 12 was perfect. they say it runs small, but i did not find that to be the case; the waist is more fitted, but the arms and shoulders are roomy. note also that this is the same fabric as the heathcliff jacket which is now available. i had purchased that jacket (same sizing situation) from another season and it is also a great style to have in your closet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful but large I love the quality and the shape of this jacket. But it is rather large for the size. I usually wear a 6 but even the 4 is too large and now they don't have any more 2 sizes. I'll either return it or take it to a tailor and pay more money to get a slimmer fit. Perfect for tall woman and wonderful quality. It's expensive but the price reflect the materials and the craftsmanship.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely jacket! I bought this jacket back in late summer when it first came out, to wear on vacations to Maine in the fall and winter. It is a great length, looks super with skinny jeans. Soft fabric, not the least bit itchy. I'm 5'9, 140#, size 8 fit perfect. Sleeve length perfect. Wonderful purchase! Been a long time since I have found a blazer that I love like this one. Expensive jacket, worth every penny. Only bummer was paying over $300, and still had to pay for shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect jacket I debated purchasing this jacket because it was fairly expensive but finally decided to try it and am so glad I did! Beautiful soft Alpaca herringbone fabric and a perfect weight for most cool days in the SF Bay Area. The fit is very flattering, just the right amount of fit through the waist and love the length that is wearable with many of the longer tunics that i love. Runs a bit large depending on what you plan to wear under it. Please make this in other fabrics especially black, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value This may be one of my best buys ever! It has all the quality of bespoke--and I love the lining. I have jackets from desingers at far greater prices that are not as well made and stylish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fabric I am 5'8" tall. LOVE the length as I can wear with leggings without concern my rear will show. The material is super soft and comfortable. I hesitated to purchase because of the price, but the quality is worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for taller women The quality and material of the jacket is very well made. I was excited to receive it but the blazer is way too long and overwhelming on me, even for what is supposed to look like a longer jacket. I am 5'2 and a size 10/12. I think that the jacket would be perfect on someone 5'7 or taller. If you are shorter, skip this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and Lean This jacket has a fantastic cut: long, lean and nipped at the waistline. The princess seams in the back really make it follow one's curves in a way that is very flattering, but still tasteful and understated. I ordered this in two sizes: my usual and one up. There was, to my eye, surprisingly little difference in the two sizes. Both looked sleek and felt comfortable. I ended up keeping the very slightly larger jacket so I can wear it over sweaters as comfortably as a blouse. The black and tobacco/brown tweed fabric works well with dozens of my other PC pieces. I will be wearing this a lot.
