Urubamba Alpaca Pullover

Item #620951
Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful textile, warm and cozy This is really a stunning textile, but the "S/M" does run extremely large, and is not as long as it appears to be in the photo. (My husband thought it was 6 inches shorter, but that's probably an exaggeration). Because it's so voluminous, as others have noted, it really has to be worn with a very slim pant! I'm 5'8, 160 lbs, and think if I were shorter it would just be too much bulk. I definitely think the sweater would look best with a turtleneck, as shown, but I can't wear them and it looks OK with a long sleeved shirt. In my opinion, the piece would be improved with any neckline other than crew--whether a boat neck, a small scoop, or a V. It's super cozy and quite soft except, for some reason, the band around the neck is a bit scratchy. The beautiful, varied colors palette and textured pattern make for a unique item, and very warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe not for everyone but perfect for me. Other reviewers complained that this pullover is overwhelming, and it certainly could be on a petite frame. But I'm 5'7 and it's perfect for me and I love it. Great colors, great drape, really cozy for cold wintery days, but not too hot and heavy to wear indoors. Looks chic with leggings and a turtleneck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular color explosion, warm, and stylish I need to eat my words in a previous review. I had tried on the Urubamba alpaca pullover on a few different occasions, and each time I felt as though it had just swallowed me since it was so large and unstructured. I was drawn to this garment because of the artistry of the knit and the strikingly beautiful color combinations. I think I finally tried it on while I was wearing very slim, high-waisted pants, and it appeared more well-balanced on me rather than overwhelmingly large. I should take more lessons from the talented designers who style the PC models. This is a beautiful garment that I now know how to wear, and the knit is sturdy enough to resist pulling that might otherwise damage more delicate pieces. It will accompany slim pants or jeans of a variety of shades, and it's just a cozy, stylish alternative to a garden-variety sweater. I'm so happy I didn't give up on this garment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In LOVE! I read a review about this item and wanted to purchase this over a year ago then I did not see it available until just before Christmas. The quality of this piece is stellar, absolutely beautiful weaving. The weight of this is not lightweight or flimsy. It drapes beautifully and feels divine. The colors are fabulous and paired with their turtleneck colors which, I need to buy, looks fabulous.
