Manta Yoke Pima Cotton Skirt

Item #565082
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning and Unique I love this skirt and feel happy when wearing it as well as receiving plenty of compliments! The skirt is very flattering, accenting the waist. Based on the recommendation from the Stylist, I ordered an XS which fits perfectly (5'5" 116). The XS is also the perfect length as I can wear flats, the S would require heels to prevent the skirt dragging on the ground. I did not find the skirt to be too tight at the waist as it needs to be tight to fit properly. The skirt is beautifully constructed, with gores allowing a lovely movement as one walks. The Stylist also recommended folding the skirt to prevent stretching from hanging. I am so happy with the skirt, the black version will soon be mine!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from From an Outlier All the other reviewers have praised this skirt; I'm a dissenter, I think the skirt makes a more striking appearance Online than IN-reality. I had no problem with the skirt's being tight at the hip or waist, but that may be because the one I received is from 2018. I knew full well the skirt would be long for me (5'3"/108) and it is long, reaching my ankles, but the because the material in the skirt (rather than the yoke) is so thin and so stretchy, I believe it would stretch and stretch. I did not like the materials the skirt is made with, though I think it is quite beautiful in concept/in design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very tight waist and hip This skirt is gorgeous, BUT, it is very small at the waist and hip area. I own at least 20 other PC skirts, all in size small, they all fit well. For reference I'm 5'2", 122-123 pounds, 28" waist, flat abdomen. This one fit, but without wiggle room, and the beauty of the skirt is the design that ends at the hip. Also, although I'm short, I like my skirts long to my ankles, so usually I have no problem with the length. This one is so long, I had to have altered, needed 3 or 4 inches off before it would reach my ankles. Luckily I could, because with most PC skirts and dresses, hemming is not even possible. In summary, I loved the skirt, but it is designed, unaltered, for a very tall, slim, narrow hipped, small waisted woman. Also, for the beautiful waist/hip design to show to advantage, it should not be constricted. Unless you are very slim, I'd size up. The colors are gorgeous and the feel very soft. For me it was worth the aggravation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best skirt to date I have purchased many Peruvian clothing items through the years. This skirt is already a favorite. The skirt is soft and the teal color very appealing. The waist band is colorful and interesting. I could not be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Agree: Beautiful and UNcomfortable I agree with the earlier reviews. I was drawn to this skirt the first time I saw it and ordered it right away. I have an extensive collection of PC skirts, all in size S, so I ordered this in S. The skirt is beautiful, quality is high, colors gorgeous, and the design is interesting and refreshing. But the color banding at the top was so tight that it was very uncomfortable and after 5 minutes of wear I couldn't get it off fast enough. I contemplated going up a size but thought the lower part of the skirt would be too large for me. I expect it would be stunning on someone tall and thin with very narrow hips.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not comfy but so pretty The colors on this skirt are completely gorgeous. I have several PC skirts in size Medium and I ordered a medium in this style. I feel exactly like the other review, it was the most uncomfortable fit around the waist and hips. Way too tight. I'm considering ordering it in large but I think the rest of the skirt will be too large..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Waist cruncher! I bought this skirt in small because all my Peruvian Connection skirts are in size small but, the elastic skirt on this skirt was so tight it literally rolled over double. What's the point of that? Against my other skirts, there is an almost 2 inch difference. I thought the whole idea of using elastic was to make a garment more comfortable. I think if Peruvian Connection used a little more elastic on the waist, the sizing of the garment would not be affected at all. Except for the waist problem, the skirt is gorgeous. I'm returning to the Santa Fe store. I'll order the medium and, hopefully, the waist will make sense and it won't be too generous on the hip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
