Santa Rosa Ruana

Item #440982
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality weaving Brought back some lovely items from Peru, but felt like I was missing something. Disclaimer, I am a "textile" freak. Came across this ruana and, after buying beautiful handcrafted items at a much lower price in Soles (currency), debated wether this clothing item was worth it. Yes, it is. The pattern and colors are rich and true, including the Inca tradition of chaos (woven borders) and order (plain field), obviously woven by women who have passed down a tradition. For confirmation, I was walking through a museum and came across a "manta" from 19th century Bolivia. This shawl, but different fabric. After that, went crawling around the a Internet, and this is a fair deal for a classic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Striking Stripes This is a lovely, very usable item. Will look great with just about anything. While on holiday in London, I found the Peruvian Connection shop (a bit out of the mainstream) with actual Peruvian sales ladies, who were very helpful. It was all I could do to get myself out of the shop without buying some of the other autumn outfits!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Ethnic! This is my first purchase and I was not disappointed with the incredible colours and design of this Ruana. Although it is light it is incredibley warm and comfortable, and versatile enough to be worn in different ways. I love this and have received several compliments while wearing it and enquiries as to where it can be bought. I feel it will be a favourite wrap for a long time to come, beautiful!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally delighted More lovely than photos. medium weight knit is soft, substantial and extremely well made. Colours are amazing. Overall red is deep crimson (like lightest photo but richer, not muted). Teal is deep but bright (not light blue). Pink is Taos (see Extreme turtleneck). Seeing the knit quality, I now understand the price. I'm 5'6" 165 lb and it covers me as pictured. The video made the fabric look thin. It's not. When I flip the front section over one shoulder, the knit's weight holds it nicely in place. Nice surprise. Timelessly elegant, I will be wearing this for special occasions and inspiration in the years ahead. Thank you PC!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful wrap I waited months for this ruana and it was worth waiting for. I love it. Just don't let me see it on sale in a month or two. Seriously, this garment is beautiful.
