      Pockets HAVE to go!
" I had the same idea about seeing if my seamstress could close/remove the pockets, but it may not be as easy as it looks, or worth it. It is difficult to get a clean straight line if one does this. WHY did you put these pockets here, PC???!!! The fabric is lovely and the line very elegant. My husband loves it (even tho the blue is a strange shade). Not sue if I will keep it. "

      Nope. Lumpy pockets ruin it
" I love tank dresses and the ocean blue color, lightweight cotton but not sheer fabric and fit of this dress are great! BUT, as other reviewers have said, the side seam pockets are lumpy and will not lie flat. It adds 2 layers of dress fabric to the hips -- never a good idea. I just couldn't manage to get them to stay put at all. I'm returning it -- waaaay too much work to try to remove the pockets. Too bad I'd love this dress and would buy more than one color otherwise. Hip pockets on women? Come on PC . . . only the most skinny women might like to have bulk added to their hips, and probably not even them. "

Hey hey, ho ho, those side pockets got to go
" I agree with the other reviewers that the pockets are a pain. I actually had to iron them on the inside to get them to stay tucked inside the dress after I washed it the first time. In case it's not obvious, the bottom hem is merely serged to prevent fraying - it's not a tailored hem. Those issues aside, I love the blue color and the overall cut of the dress. When worn with the denim obi belt, it's a really sweet look. "

      Pretty but flawed
" I completely agree with the other reviewers — a pretty piece and very wearable, but those side pockets have to go! There’s no need for them in a dress like this: what possible use could they have other than enabling the wearer to preen like a model? They bunch up at the hip and create an unflattering look in an otherwise very pretty and wearable dress. And I do love the moss green color! I purchased it with the intention of asking my tailor to sew up those pockets, but not sure it’s worth the bother... PC: Redesign this one without the pockets, and you’ll have a winner! "

      Not Quite
" I agree with the previous reviewer. The pockets do add unnecessary bulk to the dress and were most unflattering on me. I would have loved this dress otherwise. I suppose it could be altered but decided against all that hassle. "

bought the blue and an opinion about the fit
" I have several PC cotton tank dresses and bought this one because it's 100% cotton and I was attracted to the beautiful blue color. (I don't care for the increasingly common PC combination of cotton and modal.)The dress is very comfortable, soft and stretchy. The minus for me: Side Pockets built into the seams add unnecessary bulk at the hip area. Yes, they are functional but aesthetically undesirable. I do not have large hips, but the skirt puckers at the hips. Overpriced for what it is but the color and comfort are very good and it makes a good travel dress. I bought the size small for my 35.5 x 25 x 35.5 figure. Will wear it belted with the black leather Obi belt of a few seasons back. I would not recommend to women with wide hips or who are pear-shaped. "
