Handwoven Watana/Jakima Wrap Bracelets, set of 2
Handwoven wool strips, known as watanas or jakimas, were traditionally used as colorful Andean hair decorations, and have been re-interpreted for the wrist. These narrow bands are woven by Peruvian children and teens to practice the weaving techniques and designs of their parents. Little by little, they gain experience and can work up to more complex patterns.

The Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco was established in 1996 as a non-profit organization aiming to revive and preserve Incan textile traditions.
